Pastor Gustavo Barros was born and raised in Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil. As a Brazilian he is a big fan of the true "football" and of a strong cup of coffee.

 

He traveled to Portland, Oregon in 2002 to study Theology and it was there that he met his wife Rachel and acquired his Bachelor of Theology (BTh). In 2007 Gustavo, Rachel, and Isabella (their oldest daughter) moved to Brazil, where he planted and pastored a church. Then in 2013 he and his family returned to the USA, to Salem, Oregon to pursue further studies and to pastor. He has a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) and a Master of Divinity (MDiv) through Reformed Baptist Seminary.

 

Gustavo and Rachel have five children; Isabella, Emily, Lilliana, Stephan, and Apollo.
